Leave Arusha at 08.00 am, drive for about 2 hours to Lake Manyara National Park, get there still early have a game drive in this famous park for its green scenery, varied birdlife, tree-climbing lions, hippos and baboons till sunset. Dinner and overnight will be at Jambo Campsite.
After breakfast, we will drive through Ngorongoro Highlands to Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti’s endless plains provide an exceptional landscape for wildlife viewing. This park is one of the greatest wilderness areas in the world, the Serengeti supports a magnificent diversity and abundance of animals, from the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and black rhino (although these are rarely spotted) – to giraffe, Grant’s gazelle, impala, kongoni, topi, and eland. Dinner and overnight stay at Seronera Campsite within the park.
After breakfast game drive along the way as you exit Serengeti. With picnic lunches drive to Ngorongoro. Dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite.
After early breakfast descend into the crater for the game drives. Lunch will take place at the hippo pool picnic site on the crater floor. The star attraction of the Conservation Area is the Ngorongoro Crater: an extinct volcano teeming with wildlife. All major animals are easily seen. The only exception is the giraffe which is present in the Conservation Area, but not in the crater because of the steep descent. Elephants are common, including some very big tuskers, and all the big cats are prominent as well. In the afternoon ascend in the crater and drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight or at the airport.
